What Makes a Hipster Different?

A hipster lands on the hip bones instead of higher on the waist. Its sides are wider than a brief’s, but unlike a trunk, it has no leg. The seat remains fully covered, so you get a modern low-rise shape without feeling overly exposed. It is a strong choice under low-rise jeans, slim trousers, or whenever boxer-brief legs feel like too much fabric.

Soft Stretch Cotton for Everyday Wear

Most styles blend 90–95% cotton with enough elastane to help the fabric stretch and return to shape. The cotton keeps the feel breathable and familiar; the added stretch helps the hipster stay close without becoming tight. We pre-shrink the fabric before cutting, then adjust the pattern for the way each knit moves. A medium fits a 32–34-inch waist, just as it does across our other collections.

A Low-Rise Fit That Stays Flat

A low-rise style only works if the openings stay smooth. We finish the edges with a flexible cover stitch so they can move with the fabric instead of rolling or digging in. The waistband uses soft elastic woven locally in Colombia, with the branding printed into the band rather than added as a stiff label. If you fall between two waist sizes, choose the larger one for the most comfortable rise.
